Fresh

We moved to Georgia almost three years ago (wow, that flew by).  Ever since moving here, we’ve driven past a produce stand many, many times.  Each time, we would say that we should stop in sometime.  After nearly three years, we finally went there on Friday.  I’m so glad we did.  We got some fresh [...]

I know a guy…

he started a blog.  You don’t want to miss the story about The Flying Pee.

Saucy

We had a bunch of tomatoes from our (very small) garden and I decided to make some spaghetti sauce.  It’s been YEARS since I tried making it from real tomatoes.  I used this recipe: Stephanie’s Freezer Spaghetti Sauce.  I halved the recipe and cooked it on the stove because I didn’t want to drag out [...]

I’m Lame-O

I just read a very sad blog post and feel pretty dumb for getting so worked up this morning about childcare/school! I’ve calmed down and just feel pretty incredibly lucky I got to see my kids smile and give them lots of hugs today!
QP turned 3 months today. She is starting to drool [...]

Feeling deflated

I’m so frustrated! We still are not sure what we’re going to do about the school/childcare situation. I found two options that I think would work for us. One is 20 minutes from our house (one way) and the other is less than five minutes from our house. I’m trying to [...]

Better

I’ve been staying up later than I should watching the Olympics.  I’m not generally a big sports fan but am sucked in by the Olympic hype.  I’ve been doing MUCH better about not snacking in the evenings. The other night, I had a 100 calorie Blue Bunny Ice Cream Bar instead of a heaping big [...]

The biggest blog post in the universe! Ok, not really…

I’ve been meaning to put together a decent blog post for some time now.  It just seems when I do have a spare moment there’s always something else I need to do.  I’ve been feeling guilty that the baby is almost THREE MONTHS OLD and I have yet to journal anything about her.  I must [...]

Sad

We just found out today that T’s child development center (THAT WE LOVE) is closing in one month.
One of the many victims of the state budget cuts.  I want to cry.  I’m not sure what we’re going to do. It’s real slim pickin’s out here for QUALITY child care in the area where we live.

Back to CVS

I haven’t done much “CVS-ing” the past couple months. There were some buy one, get one free deals this week I decided to take advantage of.
Pert Shampoo BOGO, used a $2.00 off coupon and a $1.00 off coupon
Cost for 2 bottles of shampoo = $0.69
Colgate Total Advanced Toothpaste, used $1.50 off coupon, got $2.00 extracare [...]

And so it begins…

I’ve already had to put away some of the baby’s clothes that she’s outgrown!  There are also other outfits I’ve waited too long to take out and she’ll probably only be able to wear once or twice.  She’s outgrowing clothes fast, mostly because the cloth diaper adds a little bulk (which my friend warned me [...]
